The SUNY Cobleskill

The SUNY Cobleskill John Deere TECH Program is designed to prepare students for a successful career as service technicians in an industry full of opportunity. Students will study diesel engines, powertrains, hydraulics, machine set-up systems, all while becoming proficient in high-tech computer diagnostics, electronics, sophisticated AMS precision farming technology, and proprietary John Deere systems. Students will acquire communication and customer relations skills essential to a successful career as a John Deere dealership service technician. Students who complete the two-year program are awarded a Power and Machinery Associate in Applied Science degree. Suny Cobleskill

WHAT

2-Year Associate's Degree

John Deere Technician Students will receive a 2-Year Associate's Degree including general education courses and John Deere exclusive classroom training courses including: Diesel Engines and Fuel Systems, Powertrain Components, Electrical and Hydraulic Systems, Service Advisor™ Diagnostics, Heating and Air Conditioning, Service Department Procedures and Policy, John Deere Product Specific Training and Precision Technology. Plus, you'll get hands-on training at your sponsoring John Deere Dealership through regular internships so you can put your education to work.
